Delete your account
KinBridge gives you clear ways to control your account, your care circle, and the information linked to it.
How it works
Self-service - Leaving a care circle
You can leave a care circle at any time and keep your KinBridge account. If you are the only Family Admin, you must make someone else an admin first.
Self-service - Deleting your Account
You can permanently delete your account after confirming twice. If your account is the only one in a circle, the circle is deleted too.
Self-service - Circle administrator - Delete a Circle
Family Admins can permanently delete a whole care circle, including its members and circle data, after downloading an export and confirming the circle name.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
Before requesting deletion, please be aware that:
- Your account cannot be recovered after deletion
- You will lose access to all care circle data you have contributed to
- Your membership of any care circles will be removed
- Other members' data and the circle itself are not affected by your individual deletion
If you simply want a break from KinBridge, you can stop using the app without deleting your account — your data will remain safely stored until you return.
Controlling your data privacy and membership
Use either method below.
Leave a Care Circle
You can leave a care circle yourself at any time from Contacts & Members. This removes you from that circle but keeps your KinBridge account, so you can still use it for another circle.
If you are the last Family Admin, KinBridge will ask you to promote another admin before leaving. This helps make sure the circle is not left without someone responsible for managing it.
Delete your account
You can delete your KinBridge account from the app menu. KinBridge asks you to confirm this twice before anything is deleted.
When your account is deleted, KinBridge removes your own account data and signs you out. If you are the only member of a care circle, deleting your account will also delete that circle. If other people are still in the circle and you are the only Family Admin, you will need to promote another admin first or delete the whole circle.
Family Administrator deletes a Care Circle
Family Admins can permanently delete an entire care circle from the Danger Zone in Contacts & Members or Circle Administration.
Before this happens, KinBridge asks the admin to download a final data export. The admin must then type the circle name to confirm the deletion. Deleting a circle removes the circle, its members, and the data connected to that circle. This action cannot be undone.
In short: you can leave a circle, delete your own account, or—if you are a Family Admin—delete the whole circle after extra confirmation.
